Dairy Cheer in Pikeville

The people working are very loud and the food came out half cooked took it back and was done with the rest of our food before the eggs came out the place is dirty and cold will for sure never go back and would not recommend this place to anyone

Food was really good but gave 4 stars because they didn't get my biscuit order right. Super friendly service. And the outside could use some repair/renovation. But still the same great burgers and onion rings, milkshakes etc as they have always had.

This Establishment is Amazing! Most Friendly faces in town and the service is great! Best Milkshakes you'll find anywhere! Dairy Cheer is also extremely clean, I have personally watched them clean until well after midnight on anything and everything you can imagine, down to taking apart all machines!

Stopped by for the ice cream and soft serve. One got the butter pecan ice cream in a waffle cone. It was delicious and a lot of ice cream in the waffle cone for a regular size. Two of us got the soft serve, one chocolate and one chocolate/vanilla swirl. Great taste and definitely worth the stop and the wait. It's usually very busy there but worth the wait.

The food was amazing, and the service was great. They were very friendly, order was correct, and I couldn't have asked for better. The wait was a little long, but that is to be expected with no indoor dinning at this time due to COVID-19. However, well worth the wait. 🙂

Food was okay, a little burnt and they forgot a couple things on my order. Service could really use some work but for a small town restaurant it's pretty good! Just needs good leadership/organization.

Food was horrible, fries were so dried out like they had been made for days and the meat on the burger was like what you got in school cafeterias as a kid🤮 and our order was wrong ordered everything on the burger and it came plan with cheese. So upset because it was 18 dollars for just a burger and fries, drink and milkshake and we couldn't go back for them to fix it because the line was around the building and couldn't wait that long again 🙄 we wont ever be going back

Some of the best home-style food to be had in Eastern Kentucky. Unique dishes as well as the classics! Great food & great service! I suggest the famous footlong chili dog, loaded!

The food was cheaply priced. The "smash burger" was OK. The fries were greasy, but hot. The speed of the receipt of the food upon completion of the order was incredibly slow.

I think they have the best burgers, onion rings, & shakes in Pikeville.

The Dairy Cheer may be a bit run down aestheticly, but their food sure holds true!My Smash Burger, strawberry shake, my families' tangerine swirl cones were all fantastic!🎆

It's a solid option for a quick bite to eat. The burgers and ice cream are the best items. The interior has a diner vibe. The staff is friendly and service is good. The service time is decent. Dairy Cheer's signature burger, the smashburger, is smaller than you may expect, but the burger is made with quality meat. I recommend the hillbilly burger, which is a double bacon cheeseburger. The onions are decent, but cooked in an odd matter. The bread doesn't cover the entire onion. Overall, it's a good spot for a burger and ice cream.

Good food and have been there a long time. They have your standard fair. Hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, shakes, etc. I like how it has that old fashioned interior charm that so many other restaurants have chose to remove.

I love this place so much!!!! Great food all around but what I truly love is the peanut butter milkshake such goodness and flavor. Definitely worth the trip.

Order my lunch meal, and a root beer. Root beer was very flat I called and told them, they told me to come back they would give me another one I went back to get another one. The food was good root beer is nasty.

When asking in the area and affordable place to go, the locals suggested this place but they only mentioned the ice cream and deserts. Upon arrival while they had a lit on the menu their prices were more like those at steak n shake. No big deal there for good food. In order to wash my hands we had to walk through the kitchen prep area to get to the restrooms. Not a good idea not only did we feel it was unsanitary having customers walk through the kitchen but unsafe as we could have slipped on food or grease and fell. I'm pretty sure it's against OSHA rules too. The food arrived cold and was not fixed as ordered as far as the burgers. We will never try this restaurant again. We both were very disappointed and dissatisfied.

A nostalgic place for me. There was a Dairy Cheer in my hometown when I grew up.My neice asked us to stop there on the way to her house. The cheeseburger was so so good. We enjoyed the fries as well.If you haven't been you need to. It is just an old hamburger joint every one needs to try.

Found this place on Google looking for burgers in Pikeville while we were staying there and decided to give it a try, Happy we did. Had a Smashburger, Onion Rings, and a shake. Everything tasted great. Obviously a place the locals enjoy and very friendly. Reminds me of the drive ins when I was growing up, Worth a visit if you are in the area.

An absolute local cultural icon.... ANYONE who is in the same city as this incredible restaurant (Pikeville, KY) is URGED to try a Smashburger and a Tangerine Swirl!! Haha.

This place is the real deal! Driving through for work and saw the “Smashburger” from the main road. Had the Smashburger meal with a “small” nutter butter flurry. Everything was delicious and the staff was polite through the drive thru. Will stop again sometime!
